OKC Animal Welfare Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of pets and people in OKC. Adoptions & lost & found: Daily, 12 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

Oklahoma City Animal Welfare promotes and protects the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people in OKC. Each year, we serve more than 24,000 animals and provide sheltering services for Del City and Tinker Air Force Base. Our team handles adoptions, lost and found pets, and responds to reports of animal cruelty, injured animals, loose dogs, and nuisance or dangerous animals, enforcing OKC’s animal ordinances. Owning a pet is a responsibility, but it also brings comfort and companionship to many people in their daily lives.

Today, on Pets for Veterans Day, we celebrate the special bond between veterans and their pets.

To all veterans with pets, thank you for serving our country and for being responsible pet owners. By giving your pets a forever home, you help keep animals off our streets and provide them with the care they deserve.

If you are a veteran without a pet, take a look at the animals currently in our care. They are eager for the chance to find a family of their own!

Picture this: It’s a beautiful Saturday morning, and you’re enjoying a walk at the park with your furry best friend when you realize they’re due for their rabies vaccination. Luckily, you’re already at Earlywine Park for DOGtober Fest, and Angel Fund OKC is ready to help!

Stop by Angel Fund’s low-cost vaccine clinic to get your pet up to date on vaccinations and preventives while enjoying all the fun the festival has to offer!

No appointment needed! Just swing by this Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Vaccines are available while supplies last.

But these adventures wouldn’t be possible without amazing people like you who volunteer their time to take shelter dogs out for a walk.

If pets could speak for a day, what do you think our shelter dogs would say? Would they complain about the wait, wonder about their families or ask for more treats?

We think Queenie (A479380) would have a different request. She would simply ask about your day, then sit quietly and listen. Her sweet demeanor reflects a kind, patient soul who is still waiting to meet the family that will love her as much as she will love them.

Queenie has been waiting far too long for a place to call home. Let’s turn this rainy day into one filled with sunshine for her by helping her find the loving family she deserves.
