An Act of the Oklahoma State Legislature passed in 1965 created the 45th Infantry Division Museum and placed it under the supervision of The Adjutant General of Oklahoma. In 1974 the Lincoln Park Armory, the present site of the museum, became available and was dedicated to the museum for permanent occupancy. We are pleased to share that the museum has partnered with Pinkston to produce three original films that will debut with the opening of the new museum. These films will help illuminate our mission, our history, and the stories that shape our work.
We are also grateful to Jake Philips, known to many as The Cultured Bumpkin, who generously volunteered his time and exceptional narration talents to bring each film to life. His contribution adds a meaningful and memorable dimension to the project.
We look forward to sharing more as we prepare for opening day!

The polka dot design dates to the squadron's service in the Korea War when they were attached to the 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, known as the "Polka Dots." The Oklahomans adopted the polka dot pattern as their own after their service in Korea ended.

Artifact installation continues in the new museum building, and it’s all hands on deck! This process requires precision, teamwork, and a lot of patience! From heavy equipment to delicate artifacts, every item is handled with care as the exhibits start to take shape. It’s incredible to watch history find its place, one artifact at a time.
