Route 66 Bus Tour - Oklahoma City / County Historical Society 03/25/2026

The Oklahoma City/County Historical Society has moved to a new address with an updated website (www.okchistory.com). This upgrade was done as part of the ongoing integration of the best of the Oklahoma City/County Historical Society and the best of Retro Metro OKC, which is now a project of the historical society.
Since the two groups joined together two years ago, we have brought back tours and speakers with past events including a tour of the historic Sun Dial mansion and the unveiling of the C.G. Jones memorial at the OKC Fairgrounds.
The new website, at www.okchistory.com, will be regularly updated with blog posts, event postings, and helpful lists of history books and research resources.
Our first bus tour will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at POPS in Arcadia.
We will be joined by Rhys Martin, president of the Route 66 OK Association, who will provide us a three-hour guided tour (with some stops) of Route 66 landmarks and history in Oklahoma County.

Tickets are $20 each.
Please arrive at 8:50 a.m. so we can leave at 9 a.m. We will meet at POPs in 660 OK-66 in Arcadia. Seating is limited, so please make your reservation and buy tickets via PayPal at https://okchistory.com/event/route-66-bus-tour/

The tour will last three hours with a drop off at POPs when the bus ride is completed. At POPS we hear a bit more about Arcadia landmarks, including the Round Barn and the town itself.
If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
