Diversion Hub provides justice-involved individuals and families with the services they need to become stable and self-sufficient, reducing their criminal legal system involvement. Connecting justice involved people to needed resources, helping them become stable and safe community members, reducing encounters with the system.

We wrapped up our first major federal grant project with a final evaluation of Misdemeanor Diversion Program. The evaluation was produced by the University of Central Oklahoma in partnership with our strategy and data team, pictured here.

The evaluation highlighted these key findings:

✨73% of MDP participants graduate, including 82% of participants who attend at least one appointment with their case manager.

✨Only 10% of MDP graduates receive a new criminal charge within two years, compared to 20% of the overall jail population.

✨Early desistance measures indicate that if MDP graduates reoffend, subsequent charges are less severe.

✨82% of participants who received substance use treatment and 14% of participants who received mental health treatment did not disclose needing treatment at intake. This means that positive relationships built with our case managers reduce stigma and encourage clients to pursue treatment pathways. Embedding treatment on site decreases barriers to access.

The Breakfast Hub Launch Party is almost here! Join us on October 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DHub (1200 Linwood Blvd in OKC) for the launch of our social enterprise program. There will be a brief ceremony, an appearance from staff and entertainers, and a chance to try delicious breakfast food for free through a generous sponsorship.🍳🍽️🌯

The food truck is operated by cohorts of young people with justice involvement who gain on-the-job experience, attend classes that develop their skills, and receive one-on-one mentorship. The workforce pathway is funded by .

Last month, our Manager of Workforce Development, Courtenie, spoke at the 2026 Oklahoma Works Partners Conference hosted by . Her presentation, "Fair Chance Forward: Building Collaborative Workforce Pathways," engaged over 40 attendees in learning about the barriers and opportunities experienced by justice-impacted clients on the job market.

Courtenie and her team help hundreds of clients annually find employment through training, mentorship, and individualized placements with our network of fair chance employers. We work with clients to leverage their strengths and fill gaps in their education and skills. Our goal is to help clients start careers that meet their needs and make them proud.

In honor of National Recovery Month this September, we're highlighting two staff members who go above and beyond for their clients and community. Melissa is one of our Court-Ordered Outpatient Program recovery navigators and Lindsay supervises the program.

Both Melissa and Lindsay have lived experience in the criminal legal system and are in recovery themselves. As certified Peer Recovery Support Specialists, they use their experience and training to support clients, building positive relationships and social capital. They help program participants meet their needs and meet court obligations, all while fostering healthy behaviors that support recovery.

"Lindsay and Melissa are absolutely incredible," said Tyler, our Director of Recovery and Support Services. "They use their lived experience to walk alongside clients in meaningful, compassionate ways."

Last week, they drove to Ada to table at Pontotoc County's "Step Out of the Darkness" day of recovery events. They spoke to attendees to make connections that increase access to recovery support and reduce justice involvement.

In 2025, DHub launched a pilot program aimed at addressing the needs of clients who aren't ready to engage in case management, including clients in crisis. The Triage Team has since grown to three staff members, two of whom are Peer Recovery Support Specialists. The team addresses emergency needs and crisis situations quickly and professionally, allowing clients who are not ready to engage in our other programs to build relationships and foster trust.

The Triage Team's foundational work helps these clients take their first steps towards stability outside of the criminal legal system.

“We meet high acuity clients where they are at,” said Dale, our Manager of Triage Services. “Many of these clients are not ready for long-term goal planning, but they do need access to stabilizing services.”

A core component of our service model is being there for our clients even when they’re not ready to change their lives, because with our Triage Team’s reliable and compassionate support, someday they will be ready.
