Perrot Memorial Library Perrot Memorial Library serves the Riverside and Old Greenwich neighborhoods of Greenwich, CT The Children's wing was designed by architect Mark B.

The Perrot Memorial Library is located in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, a Long Island Sound seaside community which comprises the eastern portion of the Town of Greenwich. The library, named for John Perrot, Old Greenwich's first private schoolmaster, was founded in 1904 by his descendants. The library moved from place to place until 1930, when architect D. Everett Waid donated a piece of land on Sound Beach Avenue, as well as plans for a Jeffersonian-style building. Thompson and construction was completed in 1998. The new addition was funded by a a major gift from the Radcliffe Family and donations from many members of our community. Perrot Library is a private, 501(c)(3) institution, owned by the Perrot Library Association; we are affiliated (and share a catalog) with the larger Greenwich Public Library system.

Diaper need is real, and it's closer to home than you think. 1 in 2 families with young children in the U.S. struggle to afford diapers-- and they're not covered by government assistance.

Perrot is hosting collection bins for The Diaper Bank of Connecticut's Diaper Drive!

Through October 30th, we will be accepting infant and toddler diapers, training pants, and wipes. Partial packages and open packages are OK!

Donation bins are located at the Youth Services Desk and just inside the driveway entrance to the Adult Wing.

Thanks for your support!

The Perrot Walks group gathered in our pollinator garden to welcome a special new addition: a bench from the property of the late Meredith Sampson. Lovingly restored by her friend Jessamine Smith, the bench is dedicated in Meredith’s memory, a peaceful spot to rest among the flowers she would have loved.

This summer, Ms. Sampson left a generous gift to Perrot Library. We are deeply grateful for her philanthropy and for the love she held for this library and the Old Greenwich community. Her gift will help us continue offering the programs, spaces, and stories that bring our neighbors together. Next time you pass through the pollinator garden, we hope you’ll stop, sit a while, and remember Meredith with us.
