Rebuilding Together believes in a safe and healthy home for every person. This means that we believe disabled and aging homeowners should be able to remain in their homes for as long as possible. We believe that homeowners displaced by natural disaster will get back into safe housing with help from the community. We believe that our nation’s veterans with disabilities deserve safe and accessible homes. Rebuilding Together believes we can preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities by providing free home modifications and repairs, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient.

Our Open Volunteer Day in Rochester was a great opportunity for new volunteers to see Rebuilding Together Thurston County’s mission in action!

Together, volunteers and board members helped a local homeowner by painting the home’s exterior, cleaning up the property, and building a new set of front steps. These improvements help create a safer, healthier home while showing just how much a community can accomplish when people come together.

A huge thank-you to everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and made a difference!

When you give to Rebuilding Together Thurston County, your donation helps make safe, healthy homes possible for our neighbors.

Unrestricted donations are especially valuable because they help cover the behind-the-scenes costs that keep our work moving, from tools and supplies to program operations and essential resources that support home repairs.

These dollars give us the flexibility to respond to community needs and make the most of every volunteer hour.

Give Local South Sound is coming soon, and early giving on November 2 is a great way to get a head start! Every contribution matters. Thank you for helping us build a stronger, safer community, one home at a time.

What does an RTTC volunteer actually do?

A little bit of everything!

Our volunteers help with painting, cleanup, construction and repairs, landscaping, yard work, and plenty of other hands-on projects.

And you don’t have to be a professional contractor to volunteer. Our projects bring together people with all kinds of skills and experience, and there’s a job for everyone.

Whether you’re handy, willing to learn, or just ready to get your hands dirty, you can make a real difference for a neighbor in our community.

At Rebuilding Together Thurston County, we believe everyone deserves to live in a home that is safe, healthy, and accessible.

Every year, our volunteers donate thousands of hours to complete repairs that many homeowners simply can't afford to do on their own. Whether it's replacing a roof, repairing a porch, improving accessibility, or tackling long-overdue maintenance, each project helps a neighbor remain safely in their home.

Together, we're preserving homes, strengthening neighborhoods, and building a more caring community—one repair at a time.
