Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance honors those who were lost, those who responded, and the many Americans who turned grief into action in the days and years that followed.

That spirit lives on through national service, and today, we recognize that work and enduring belief that service can bring people together. We encourage fellow Washingtonians to find a way to serve in the places you call home, and to continue to show up their community, build connections, and choose action in moments that ask something of us.
