🗳️ Washington Elections Are Here!

Your voice matters for the future of Washington’s kids and families! Ballots are hitting mailboxes across the state.

Child Care Action Council urges a NO vote on Initiative 645.

I-645 would repeal the Millionaires Tax, putting crucial investments for children, working families, and local communities at risk.

Here is why protecting these investments matters:

👶 More Investment in Early Learning: Directs 5% of tax revenues to the Fair Start for Kids Account to fund affordable child care and early learning programs.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Support for Working Families: Expands access to the Working Families Tax Credit, helping hundreds of thousands of additional families and children.

💵 Lower Everyday Costs: Saves families money on household essentials through key sales tax relief.

Make sure your voice is heard! Check your registration status, learn about ballot measures, and find a ballot drop box near you on VoteWA.gov.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: Stand Up for Head Start & Early Learning in WA State!

Every child deserves access to quality, affordable early education, but critical supports for our youngest learners and working families are under threat.

Proposed federal changes to Head Start standards could result in fewer services, reduced support and safety, and lower-quality early childhood education for children across Washington State and the nation.

We need your voice to help protect local families—and time is running out!

How You Can Take Action Today:
1️⃣ Submit a Public Comment by October 6th:

Use the quick advocacy tool created by our partners at the Washington State Association of Head Start & ECEAP to tell the administration to withdraw this proposal and protect our children.

2️⃣ Spread the Word:

Share this post with fellow parents, early learning providers, and community advocates who care about the future of early childhood education in Washington!
