🚪🍂 Our hallways are undergoing a magical transformation! Our teachers outdid themselves this week, creating incredible seasonal door decorations to welcome everyone each morning. 🎨✨
The creativity didn't stop there—our hallways are also filled with beautiful student art.
🎒🇯🇵 To top off an amazing week, our second-grade students experienced a fantastic presentation on Japan as the culmination of their recent unit of study. They loved seeing all of the great artifacts! 📸
We hope you are all enjoying your fall break!

Cather Curiosity 🤔
Okay, Cather… what IS this thing? 👀
Tucked away in one of our classroom closets is this little wooden-framed door with chicken wire over it. Behind it is a piece of equipment—and it hums!
There appears to be more space behind the door, but we decided not to open it and investigate. There is a warning label, after all, and we're pretty sure “Cather Curiosity” doesn't mean “ignore safety warnings.” 😂
So now we're wondering...
What is it? What does it do? And how long has it been here?
We don't know yet—but apparently Cather has a few mysteries hiding in its walls!

It’s been a busy week at Cather! 💚💙
🎃 Our preschool friends got into the fall spirit with pumpkins!
🕶️ Our staff participated in an UNDERGROUND spirit day! 🤫 The students had no idea it was happening, which made it even more fun to see everyone sporting their hats and sunglasses! Mrs. Lindsey really brought the spirit!!
📚 And our Book Fair brought plenty of reading excitement to Cather! There’s nothing better than watching students discover a book they can’t wait to read!
From little pumpkins to undercover staff fun to new book adventures, there’s always something happening at Cather! We love the fun, learning, and Mustang spirit that fill our school! 🐴💚💙

Cather Curiosity ✍️
Did you know Willa Cather wasn't actually born in Nebraska?
Willa Cather was born in Virginia in 1873. When she was 9 years old, her family moved to Nebraska, where they settled in Webster County before eventually moving to Red Cloud.
And, as they say, the rest is history! 📚
It's kind of fun to think about the fact that the author our school is named for wasn't originally a Nebraska girl at all. She became one! 💚💙
Drop a 🐴 in the comments if you are originally from another state or country!
