Last week, The Durham Museum had the privilege of sharing local history through a special virtual program with patients staying at the National Quarantine Unit at University of Nebraska Medical Center - UNMC. Our guests learned about our building, local railroad history and got a virtual tour of our trains. We hope the experience made them feel more connected with our community and brought a bit of comfort to their stay.
We love sharing stories and connecting with audiences wherever they may be.
We also want to extend our gratitude to UNMC for making this connection possible, and for the important work they do in supporting and caring for their patients.

Before designing Cinderellaโs iconic gown for the 2015 live-action film, costume designer Sandy Powell watched the original animated classic โ not for inspiration, but simply out of curiosity. She admits, once she started designing the dress she noticed definite similarities.
In the end, nine different versions of Cinderellaโs ball gown were created, each using more than 270 yards of fabric, numerous petticoats, more than 10,000 crystals and more than three miles of hems.
Worn by actress Lily James in the film, this beautiful dress is a highlight of our new exhibition, ๐๐๐ง๐ค๐๐จ & ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐จ: ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐ฉ ๐ค๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐จ๐ฃ๐๐ฎ ๐พ๐ค๐จ๐ฉ๐ช๐ข๐, now on display at The Durham Museum.

Cheers to Nebraskaland Magazine for reaching a historic milestone this month! For 100 years, your incredible work has connected Nebraskans to the natural beauty around them. We are excited to partner with you on the upcoming exhibition, ๐๐๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐: ๐พ๐๐ก๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ 100 ๐๐๐๐ง๐จ ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ค๐ง๐จ, which highlights the amazing images and stories that have defined the magazine for a century.
The exhibit opens June 20 at The Durham.
In June 1926, Nebraskaland, originally known as Outdoor Nebraska, was created as a bulletin to keep sportsmen informed about the agencyโs work while inspiring a greater appreciation for Nebraskaโs wildlife and natural beauty. Over the last century, it has evolved from a small game and fish publication into an award-winning magazine known for its stunning photography and in-depth storytelling about Nebraskaโs wildlife, parks, outdoor recreation and culture.
Today, Nebraskaland Magazine continues its mission of promoting stewardship and conservation of Nebraskaโs natural resources and outdoor spaces. Through breathtaking photography and engaging stories, the magazine highlights the many outdoor opportunities found across the state, from hunting and fishing to camping, boating and wildlife viewing.
As we officially enter the 100th year of Nebraskaland, we want to thank all of you who have followed along on this journey. Readers, subscribers, photographers and storytellers have helped shape the magazine for generations, and your continued support has made this milestone possible. We are grateful to celebrate 100 years of this Nebraska's outdoors with you.
