Happy New Year!
As we reflect on 2025, we’re grateful for the families who trust WIC to support their health and nutrition. As we move into 2026, our commitment remains the same, to provide nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and resources that promote
long-term health and helps families thrive.

The Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative in partnership with birthing hospitals across the state launched the Initiative. New moms will receive a teal wristband to wear for 6 weeks after delivery. This wristband helps ALL healthcare providers recognize postpartum patients who need urgent care for maternal complications, while reminding moms of warning signs to watch for.
