There's nothing quite like the feeling of the wind in your face, the trail beneath your wheels, and a community riding alongside you.

If you’ve attended one of Outlook Enrichment’s recreation activities, chances are you’ve experienced Corey Lorenz in action, whether he’s guiding as a bike captain or supporting athletes on the ski slopes. As one of our Adaptive Sports Specialists, Corey helps create opportunities for blind and low vision participants to try new activities in a safe, supportive environment.

💬 “I believe the greatest reward is witnessing a sense of accomplishment in others. While personal achievement is fulfilling, nothing compares to the experience of seeing children and adults reach the specific goals they have set for themselves,” Corey shared.

Summer is calling… and so is Tandem Bike Club! 🚲☀️

We’re gearing up for another season of rides starting June 13, and we’ll be hitting different trails once a month through October!

We’re looking for volunteer bike captains to ride up front on tandem bikes, helping guide our riders who are blind or visually impaired. Along the way, you’ll help bring the ride to life by sharing audio descriptions of the surroundings.

Soon, we’ll be out at Tiburon Golf Club for Tee It Up Fore Sight, bringing people together for a day of golf in support of youth with vision loss.

This tournament helps fund Outlook Explorers: Journey Beyond Sight Camp, a six-day overnight adventure that encourages blind and visually impaired youth to explore and connect in a supportive, accessible environment. For many, it’s their first time staying overnight away from home, and their first opportunity to connect with peers who also live with vision loss.

We’re kicking off summer with some fresh air and outdoor fun at Lake Cunningham on May 30 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm! ☀️

If you’ve been looking for a little adventure, this one’s for you. Start the morning with archery and learn tips from a certified instructor, then head out on a one-mile hike through the woods to the lake. We’ll wrap things up by the water, casting lines and seeing what’s biting. 🎣
