Last Monday (10/19), students from Ms. Miller’s class took a field trip to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch!

Students enjoyed the beautiful fall weather, checked out some of the rides and attractions, and had a great time spending the day together. Here are some of the sights and scenes.

🎉 This week's 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿! recipients are South High Band teachers 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿! Kenny and Kalvin were nominated by a parent for going above and beyond to create a welcoming and positive environment for our Marching Band students. Their dedication, countless hours, and passion for music help make South High a place where students feel they belong. Thank you, Kenny and Kalvin, for all you do for our students!

Packers! Join our 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 students at Culver’s in Bellevue on 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵, from 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. Enjoy a meal while helping raise funds for their induction ceremony and community service projects!

Congratulations to Julian Gonzalez, who was elected JAG Nebraska State Vice President for the 2026–2027 school year! Julian becomes just the second Omaha South High JAG student to be elected as a JAG Nebraska State Officer!

On Thursday (10/15), our South High JAG officers attended the JAG Nebraska Leadership Development Conference, where they participated in leadership sessions and heard from business and community leaders. We also want to recognize Miley Miranda, who delivered her outgoing State Officer speech. Congratulations to both students on their accomplishments!
