Kamala Harris is a woman who can claim the title of many historic firsts. Today, she becomes the first woman and person of color Vice President-Elect, but that is only the most recent victory for Harris. In 2010, she became California's first woman and African American Attorney General. In 2016, Harris became the first Indian American U.S. Senator. Now that the title of the first woman and person of color Vice President has been claimed, we are excited to see how this new level of equality shapes the future.

Today we breathe a little bit easier. Congratulations to our new leaders, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and the Democrats who won across the country. But it's not over yet. We can still win the Senate in two runoff races in Georgia.
