Thursday was Day 4 of National Assisted Living Week—Dress to Impress Day! ✨
We walked the walk, strutted our stuff, and made fabulous sunglasses to protect our eyes from the incredible SHINE of our residents and staff. 😎 Everyone looked absolutely dazzling!

Wednesday: Day 3 of National Assisted Living Week - Crazy Day.
Are we crazy for loving Assisted Living Week? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Maybe but the colorful chaotic looks our residents and staff put together made today a beautiful sight to behold!
Today, we would also like to celebrate the community around our facility. From the family and friends that support us to the volunteers we get and organizations that provide opportunities for us, you each make an impact into the lives of our residents too. Tuesday: Day 2 of National Assisted Living Week - Rock n’ Roll Day. In addition to honoring our residents, we also have to thank our staff that care for them each day. Our community “ROCKS” because of both the residents and staff here. Today, the residents kept things rolling at karaoke, an album cover photo shoot, and a glow rave party.

Monday: Day 1 of National Assisted Living Week - Sports Day. This week honors our residents, their stories, and the unique part each plays in our community. Our Husker pride was strong as we kicked things off with the “Best Dressed” winner being Bev in her head to toe crimson! Stay tuned for more fun and if you haven’t RSVP’d to our Burgers and Bingo event, there is still time!

Families, don’t forget to RSVP for our National Assisted Living Week close-out celebration on Friday, September 18, from 4:30–6:30 PM!

Join us for burgers, Bingo, prizes, and a fun evening celebrating the residents, staff, and families who make our community so special.

With warmer temperatures than our first trip, we spent more time exploring the indoor exhibits—and it ended up being the perfect choice. We got an up-close look at the elephants, watched some of their training and enrichment sessions, and even caught the sea lions during feeding time!

Every trip brings new memories, new experiences, and plenty of smiles. We’re so grateful for another wonderful day at the zoo together!
