Associated Fire Protection (AFP) of Omaha, NE recently provided a Halon Retrofit solution for the customers two (2) FT4 TwinPac Gas Turbine Power Units. The original systems were installed in the early 1970’s with Halon 1301 Systems protecting the Gas Turbine Enclosures.

The project consisted of the removal of the existing Halon system and replacing it with a new Kidde CARDOX® Low Pressure CO2¬ (LPCO2) system along with the complete Allestec ONGUARD® FG8800 controls, alarm, detection, Det-Tronics FlexVu® UD10 combustible gas sensors and pneumatic generator dampers. The new LPCO2 fire suppression protects both the Gas Turbine and Generator Enclosures.

Recently Associated Fire Protection (AFP Corp) of Omaha, NE provided a Fire Suppression solution for a Natural Gas Pipeline Company protecting the Lubrication Pumps and Oil Seals on their vintage 1960’s era Gas Turbine Compressor Stations.
The projects consisted of the installation of several Marioff HI-FOG GPU fire suppression Watermist deluge systems along with additional alarm and detection devices.

Associated Fire Protection (AFP Corp) of Omaha, NE recently provided a relocation solution for the customers High-Pressure CO2 (HPCO2) System protecting five (5) of their FT8 TwinPac Gas Turbine Power Units. The original system was installed in the early 2000’s with standard cylinder racks and hardware. The customer requested that these systems be relocated to the rear of the units and installed in cylinder enclosures in lieu of being set on the ground. This retrofit was to provide several added benefits including ease of cylinder change out, a change to Stainless Steel manifolds, piping and Isolation Valves. These systems were then reinstalled into one of our Low-Profile Stainless Steel (8/10) Cylinder Free-Standing Cylinder Enclosures.

Marioff HI-FOG is now FM Approved to protect Data Centers. It is a scalable system with pre-action approvals to mitigate accidental discharges. The system is capable of protecting all aspects of a data center. HI-FOG offers superior cooling and uses less water when compared traditional fire sprinklers.
