A note from Housing Services Program Manager Gerry Ford:

"Theresa never hesitates to do everything possible to make sure that her participants are receiving exceptional service. She is a trusted and valued team member and provides on the field training to new case managers and is a mentor to all of her peers in our Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing programs. A huge THANK YOU to the St. Luke Jr. High Youth Group for spending yesterday serving our community! ❤️
Not only did they bring much-needed hygiene supplies and Ziploc bags, but they also rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Their group:

✅ Built 33 walker bags
✅ Packed 100 USDA food boxes
✅ Picked up trash around our campus
✅ Stocked shelves
✅ Assisted participants with carrying items to their cars

Their hard work, generosity, and servant hearts made a tremendous impact on our organization and the people we serve. We are so grateful for their willingness to give their time and energy to help others.
Thank you, St. Luke Jr. High Youth Group for making a difference in our community! We appreciate each and every one of you.

🌟 Things You Might Find at Together... 🌟
A family finding stable housing. 🏠
A neighbor getting groceries. 🥫
A student receiving school supplies. 🎒
A case manager solving problems that seem impossible. 💙
A staff member running on coffee and determination. ☕
A community coming together to support one another. 🤝
Every day looks a little different at Together, but the mission stays the same: helping individuals and families build stability and thrive.

We are grateful for the support of the Housing Stability Fund, which allows us to continue helping individuals and families obtain and maintain safe, stable housing.
We work alongside community partners to help people remain housed and to support those transitioning from shelters, vehicles, or unsheltered situations into permanent housing.
Housing stability changes lives, and this investment helps ensure that more of our neighbors have the opportunity to build a stronger future. 🏠💙

Grantee Spotlight ⭐️ Together

In the most recent grant cycle, Together Inc. received $250,000 toward the Housing Stability Fund.

This fund will help individuals and families facing housing crises to obtain/retain safe, stable housing through 1:1 case management, financial assistance, resource navigation, and wraparound support services.

The program works alongside community partners to help participants remain housed or transition from living on the streets, in vehicles, or in emergency shelters into permanent housing. 🏠💙

Today we want to recognize Wellpoint. Last week, Wellpoint donated 100 reusable bags to our Council Bluffs pantry. This type of generosity is greatly appreciated and is something we can easily provide to our panty guests. Thank you Wellpoint!

Today we celebrate Alicia! 🎉
As Together's Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Research, Alicia has been a driving force behind our mission since joining the team in 2022.
Alicia played an instrumental role in the launch of the Housing Stability Clinic, helping create a space where individuals and families can access critical resources and support. Whether she's at the State Capitol advocating for policies that strengthen our community or sitting at the table representing Together, our staff, and the households we serve, Alicia is always working to create meaningful change.
Her dedication, passion, and commitment to advocacy help ensure that the voices of those we serve are heard where it matters most.
Thank you, Alicia, for all you do for Together and our community! 💙

We are proud to partner with the Douglas County Health Department to bring a Harm Reduction & Health Resource Vending Machine to our community.
The vending machine will be located outside of the Housing Stability Clinic as part of our continued effort to bring critical resources together in one accessible location for the individuals and families we serve. We are currently working on the placement and setup at the building now, so be on the lookout for more updates soon.
These machines provide free, anonymous, 24/7 access to lifesaving and health-related supplies — no ID, insurance, or paperwork required. Items may include:
• Naloxone (Narcan)
• Fentanyl test strips
• STI test kits
• Pregnancy tests
• Basic first-aid supplies
• Other health and safety resources
The goal of these machines is to reduce overdose deaths, increase access to care, and connect people to resources that can save lives.
Harm reduction is about meeting people where they are, protecting public health, and ensuring every member of our community has access to tools that improve safety and wellbeing. We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to expand access to critical resources in our area.

We are excited to share a major expansion of our partnership with CHI Health.
Beginning July 1, Together will expand our hospital-based Housing Stability services to include full-time support at both Immanuel and Mercy Council Bluffs. 💙
This expansion means more individuals and families experiencing housing instability, food insecurity, and other barriers will receive direct support while already connected to care within the hospital system. Our staff work alongside hospital social workers and care teams to help patients navigate challenges that impact their health and stability — because housing, food access, and community support are healthcare.
Through this partnership, Together staff provide:
🏠 Housing problem solving and stabilization support
🥫 Connections to food and community resources
📄 Assistance navigating systems and documentation barriers
🤝 Warm handoffs to ongoing community-based services
❤️ Support focused on dignity, stability, and long-term outcomes
We are grateful for the continued partnership and shared vision with CHI Health as we continue building stronger pathways of support across our community.

Reminder from Together ❤️
Our pantry team is still in need of supplies for our “walker bags” — small food bags we provide to unsheltered neighbors and individuals traveling by Greyhound so they have easy access to food on the go.
These bags may seem simple, but they can make a huge difference for someone trying to make it through the day or safely reach their destination.
We are currently in need of:
• Gallon-sized Ziploc bags
• Protein bars
• Tuna or chicken packets
• Peanut butter crackers
• Pop-top canned items
• Shelf-stable protein snacks
Every single donation helps. Whether it’s one box or several, your support allows us to continue meeting immediate needs with dignity and care.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, and supported this work. Community makes this possible. ❤️
