Transportation shouldn’t be a barrier to voting.

That’s why rides to the polls programs, free transportation options, and access to mail-in voting are so important.

More Options:
🚘 Lyft: 50% off if you load VOTE26 into the Lyft app before 11/3 (up to $10 off)

Mailing Your Ballot?

There's a lot of anxiety about the election this year. Be mindful of scare tactics and misinformation. Focus on what you can control. And breathe (a lot).

📮 If you're voting with an early mail-in ballot, returning it at a drop box is most ideal. You can find drop boxes here: https://sos.nebraska.gov/elections/nebraska-drop-box-locator

💡 However, drop boxes are not an option for all Nebraskans. Outside of Douglas, Sarpy, and Lancaster, almost all other counties only have 1 drop box, which could be a 45-minute drive (exception: Madison and Stanton counties have 2 boxes ✌).

📬 If you do have to mail your ballot, do it as early as possible. USPS recommends at least a week ahead of time, but sooner is better. (Remember to sign the envelope and add postage.)

☑️ Track your ballot on the Secretary of State site and confirm that it was received. https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov/voterview

✅ ✅ Everyone doing an early mail ballot should also check to make sure your ballot was accepted. If it shows as rejected or suspended (e.g. you may have forgotten to sign the envelope or your signature can't be validated), call your election office to see if the issue can be fixed.

🗳 Did you know 11 counties in Nebraska are exclusively vote-by-mail? Mail voting is popular, convenient and secure.

📮 If you have access to a ballot box, drop your completed, signed early ballot there. The Election Office picks up ballots every day. Find one here: https://sos.nebraska.gov/elections/nebraska-drop-box-locator

📬 Mailing your ballot? Do it early to avoid delays. Remember, in Nebraska, no matter when you mail your ballot, the Election office must receive it by Election Day.

Millions of people are registered to vote but don't end up casting a ballot. Often it's not disinterest, it's not understanding the process, knowing where to go, or whether they have the right ID.

Let's make sure every eligible voter is ready and able to exercise their right to vote.

Pass it On. 🗳️🗣️🇺🇸

Nebraska voters won’t get a say on a constitutional amendment that aimed to protect direct democracy in Nebraska.

Today, the Nebraska Supreme Court majority ruled that the Respect Nebraska Voters initiative did not meet our state constitution’s requirement that ballot initiatives “shall contain only one subject,” meaning it does not qualify for the ballot.

Disappointed is an understatement. In this moment, we’re thinking about the everyday Nebraskans who were part of this grassroots effort because they wanted to send a message to our elected officials: respect our vote. Working alongside our neighbors from across the state, we helped collect hundreds of the more than 186,000 signatures the coalition turned in this summer — signatures representing every county in the state.

We know this work is far from over. We will continue to do all we can to protect the people’s voice and our freedom to directly vote on issues impacting our lives. And we need you with us.

As always, vote like your rights depend on it.
