Results for Douglas Co. mail-in ballots to be released on Friday, as focus grows on primary for Blue Dot seat Douglas County has about 10,000 mail-in ballots left to count and results are expected Friday. Powell and Cavanaugh are in a close race to be the Dems' nominee for the 2nd Congressional District seat.

Today is Election Day! Polls are open from 8 AM to 8 PM. To confirm your polling place, use the gray Find You Voting Information area on the home page at www.votedouglascounty.com or call (402) 444-VOTE [8683].

Early voting ballots must be returned to an official ballot drop box by 8 PM.

Staff have been preparing equipment, supplies, and ballots for the 205 Douglas County polling places for the Primary Election. Danielle Jensen is learning our processes as we get ready for her first election as Douglas County Election Commissioner.

Our office is open from 9 AM to 1 PM today (Saturday, May 9, 2026) for early voting.
