Lewis County Citizens for Commission Reform

08/07/2026

Hello friends!

Unfortunately we were not able to gather enough signatures to qualify for this year's ballot. Nearly every person we talked to was supportive, but we just could not get enough volunteers committed to the project at this time.

We will be regrouping and trying again next year, so please stay turned for more updates in 2027. Until then, this page will go dormant, but we will be back!

Request signature sheets for the 3 to 5 ballot initiative petition drive. Each sheet holds 25 signatures. Return sheets by August 1st, 2026!

We've heard feedback that some people don't like the idea of eliminating the county manager position, which was one hypothetical way we proposed to save the county money.

To clarify, our one and only goal is the commissioner expansion ballot measure. We literally can't make any other changes to positions or county structure.

If there is ever a conversation about the county manager position, it would be between the county commissioners, and we have no say in that decision.

So if you were worried about that aspect of our campaign, don't be! It's only a hypothetical, and has little to do with the actual project at hand.

Thanks!
