Michigan Works Northeast Consortium partners with businesses for recruitment, training, and retention, and provides jobseekers the support, training and services they need to get back to work, find new employment, obtain needed credentials, and more! Member counties include Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego and Presque Isle, with the central administrative offices located in Onaway. The purpose of the Consortium is to act as a representative of the counties in the provision of employment, training, and related economic development activities and services. Supported by the State of Michigan, various federal grants and other sources as appropriate and delivered through the eight county Michigan Works! Service Centers.
