Ulster County Sheriff Juan Figueroa Endorses Michele Frazier for NYS Senate
(Delhi, NY) - Ulster County Sheriff Juan Figueroa has endorsed Michele Frazier in her bid for NYS Senate – District 51.
Sheriff Figueroa, who is also President of the NYS Sheriff’s Association, cited Frazier’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement agencies needed to keep our communities safe, healthy and strong. Frazier’s proposals include providing law enforcement with better resources for the recruiting and hiring of top-tier leaders and officers, improved training, and expanded collaboration with substance use and mental health crisis partners.
“Michele Frazier has demonstrated that she understands the challenges and opportunities that modern law enforcement agencies are faced with, and that the crisis we confront are not ones that we can easily arrest our way out of. Keeping our communities safe in these times requires entire communities working together to forge smart and collaborative solutions,” said Sheriff Figueora.
“I’m proud to have Sheriff Figueroa’s support. He is a state and nationally recognized leader in innovative and effective solutions to many of our communities most complex challenges,” said Frazier. “Our law enforcement agencies are a critical component of keeping our communities strong and growing in a positive direction.”
