Smoke on the Water 2.0 Smoke on the Water KCBS-BBQ Competition is an event that brings teams and pitmasters to Guntersville, AL for a weekend of fierce competition.

All proceeds support the Blount County Jr. Fire Academy, helping inspire the next generation of first responders.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we have worked through the refund process.

Most importantly, thank you to every team for your support of Smoke on the Water. We are grateful for the time, effort, and support you have given this event.

The decision has been made to cancel the 2026 Smoke in the Water Guntersville event, numerous factors come into play, economic impacts effected sponsorships, team participation and overall bones required to host a successful event.
We are grateful for teams who registered, judges who have patiently waited and volunteers that have allotted time for event.

Refunds will be issued in check form and start going out next week and sent to address listed on your registration.

The Blount County Fire & EMS Association Jr. Fire Academy is very grateful for all who participated, donated , or volunteered to make this event happen in years past, your commitment has helped forge the future of Fire and EMS in Alabama
