Today the Southview Culture Committee celebrated our faculty and staff with an apple bar and an apple c***r refresher 🍎
Order forms were turned in and cups were filled!

Some liked all the toppings, some liked just the toppings and no apples 😉

It was a fun and busy morning at the view!

Today we celebrated 50 days of learning with our kindergarten and first grade students! They showed off their best 1950s-style outfits, enjoyed lots of fun activities, and topped off the celebration with a delicious Coke float! 🥤✨

We’re officially 50 days smarter and having a blast along the way! ❤️🖤🐾

Our kindergartners had an exciting first field trip to Careers on Wheels at Southern Union Community College! 🚒🚓🚑

Some of our wonderful City of Opelika employees shared what they do each day and gave our curious students a firsthand look at many different careers in our community.

After all the excitement, we may just have some future firefighters, police officers, lineworkers, game wardens, and paramedics in the group! ❤️🖤🐾

A big thank-you to everyone who helped make their first field trip such a fun and memorable experience!

Thank you to all of our parents and families who joined us tonight to learn more about what our young Bulldogs are learning and how you can continue supporting that learning at home! ❤️🖤🐾

Your presence, encouragement, and involvement mean so much to our students and to our school.

A special thank-you to our coaches for welcoming our families, sharing helpful strategies, and showing ways we can all work together to help our students learn, grow, and succeed.

When school and home work together, great things happen. Together, we’re building a strong foundation for success! ⭐️

Our first graders had a wonderful time attending the Health Expo at Southern Union! 🩺✨ the students enjoyed hands-on activities designed to make learning about healthy habits fun, engaging, and easy to understand. From learning about germs and good hygiene to exploring ways to keep their bodies healthy, there was so much to see and do!

We are so thankful for opportunities like this that allow our students to learn beyond the classroom while building healthy habits they can use every day. ❤️🖤🐾

🐾♥️ Bulldog Buddies is officially underway! ♥️🐾

Today, Mrs. Jacob and Ms. Spruill got to spend some time with our Bulldog Buddies for orientation, and we had such a great time getting this group started!

Bulldog Buddies is a new reverse inclusion pilot program designed to bring students together to build friendships and help create a school community where every Bulldog feels included and valued. Our Bulldog Buddies were nominated by their teachers to take part in the program, and we are so excited to have such a wonderful group of students joining us this year.

During orientation, we talked about how everyone communicates, plays, and interacts in different ways and what it looks like to be a kind and supportive friend.

Our buddies learned about things like giving friends time to respond, respecting AAC and other ways of communicating, understanding stimming and breaks, asking before helping, and making sure everyone gets the chance to participate in their own way.

We are so excited to watch these friendships grow throughout the year and cannot wait to see our Bulldog Buddies in action!

Every Bulldog belongs. 🐾♥️
