A little free library. Take a book, leave a book.

10/17/2026

Our family is moving soon, and Gideon’s Little Free Library will be coming with us. The library needs repairs/updating, so we’ll be taking it down for now. We’ll post an update here once it’s settled at its new location. 💙

But GREAT NEWS! After we move, a new family will be starting their own Little Free Library in the exact same spot (at the corner of Camellia and Dahlia) and continuing the joy of sharing books with the community here in Orange, Tx.

Thank you to everyone who has taken a book, left a book, and helped make this little library special. It means so much to our family to share our love of reading in Gideon’s memory. We are looking forward to continuing to share the love with a new community.

📚The Little Free Library has been restocked! 🌻

We’ve added more books, plus okra and sunflower seeds for anyone who would like to take some home and grow a little something of their own. 🌱

The library is almost 6 years old, and this hot Texas summer finally got to the window caulking—it melted with age and heat! We’ve made a temporary repair for now, and we’ll be giving the library a little more TLC and making some additional repairs soon. ❤️

Come by, grab a book, take some seeds, and spend a minute looking around the Monarch Waystation and all of the beautiful Gulf Fritillary butterflies visiting the garden right now. 🦋🌼
