After returning from warranty repair, our speed signs are back in service and helping remind drivers to be aware of their speed. These signs are designed to provide motorists with a simple, visible reminder to check their speed and slow down when necessary.

A big thank you to the Orange Village Service Department for their assistance in getting the signs back up and operational! 👏

VALLEY ENFORCEMENT GROUP COMPLETES REGIONAL CART TRAINING

Yesterday, the Valley Enforcement Group (VEG) Missing Person Unit - Child Abduction Response Team completed a regional training exercise as part of the process to become nationally accredited.

VEG is a regional law enforcement team made up of officers from numerous area agencies and specialized units, allowing participating departments to combine resources, experience, and expertise when responding to critical incidents.

The training consisted of a full-scale, realistic mock scenario designed to test the team’s capabilities, coordination, communication, and response under demanding conditions. CART assessors were on site throughout the exercise to evaluate the team and its operational readiness.

A successful exercise like this takes more than just the members of the Valley Enforcement Group. We would like to recognize and thank all of the specialty units and agencies that came together to make this training possible:

👮 Valley Enforcement Group MPU-CART

🐕 Ohio Search Dog Assosciation K-9 Unit

🚁 Valley Enforcement Group Drone Unit

🚒 Chagrin Valley Fire Department

🔎 East Tech Search

📡 Chagrin Valley Dispatchers

The cooperation and expertise of each participating group helped make this a realistic and valuable training opportunity.

We appreciate everyone who dedicated their time and resources to helping our regional public safety teams maintain a high level of preparedness and professionalism.

Radar Speed Signs Update 🚦

You may notice some of our radar speed signs temporarily disappearing throughout Orange Village.

These signs were provided to the Village at no cost to our residents through the competitive 2025 Cuyahoga County Community Development Supplemental Grant. A few of the signs are currently being sent out for warranty repairs and will be back in service soon.

Our radar speed signs use radar technology to detect an approaching vehicle’s speed and display it to the driver. They are intended to remind motorists to be conscious of their speed and encourage everyone to slow down and follow the posted speed limit.

We just wanted to keep residents informed if you notice some of the signs are temporarily missing. We appreciate your patience as we get them repaired and back up throughout the Village!
