Some of the best miles in District 41 never show up on a highway map and are not paved.

This week I traveled on Road N-22 north out of Ashton toward Scotia, running past Davis Creek Reservoir. Gravel roads, fence lines, open pasture, and those long rolling hills that just keep going. On a clear morning like this the sky takes up more of the picture than the ground does.

I’m covering every mile of District 41.

Great day in Grand Island at Harvest of Harmony and Doniphan at Fall Festival of Doniphan, NE.

My sons are with the high school band today, one is the drum major and one on tuba, so I packed up the tractor and went solo. I was the spot right behind the band, which meant I got to enjoy the show the entire parade. Proud dad moment.

Doniphan knows how to put on a good fall festival.

Over the last couple of days I put more than 450 miles on the road across District 41.

From Rockville, Ord, St. Paul, Albion, St. Edward, Bartlett, and communities in between, I met with neighbors to talk about the issues facing our families, farms, and communities.

This district is large, and it only works when its senator is present. Being connected matters. I will not represent District 41 from a distance. I will show up, listen, and be apart of the community.

Honored to be featured in the Nebraska Farm Bureau candidate spotlight and to have Farm Bureau’s endorsement in the District 41 race.

Agriculture is Nebraska’s backbone, and Farm Bureau members across this district are the community builders who keep our towns strong. I will keep fighting for property tax relief, local control, and policies that help our farmers and ranchers succeed.

Halfway through the week and it has been a good one.

Picked up my new favorite shirt from the Nebraska Farm Bureau. Met with a Nebraska technology leader in Albion, then stopped by the Albion Economic Development Corporation and Albion Area Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee event and found our campaign information on the bulletin board. Also attended a Jim Pillen reelection event in Lincoln and had a great conversation with Millard Public Schools and other Nebraska leaders about school funding.

Grateful for the people, the conversations, and the support across District 41 and the state.

The week isn’t over yet. See you soon in District 41!
