Oregon Fire & Rescue Station # 43 Oregon, OH Fire Station # 43 The Harbor View Fire Department was later taken over by Oregon Township in 1947 and was named Bay Shore-Oregon Twp VFD, No. 3.

Oregon Fire Station No. 43 traces its beginnings back to 1941 when a Fire Department housed in Harbor View was organized by the Office of Civil Defense. When Oregon Township became Incorporated in 1958, all three stations became a City Department, and we were then listed as Station No. 3. Around 2014 Oregon transitioned its station and unit identifiers to a county-wide numbering system, and Station No. 3 became Station No. 43

STARTING Thursday - April 23, 2026, the City of Oregon Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants. The work area will be Brown Road at the East city limits, working North and West to the city limits. It will take 8 to 9 months to get the hydrants flushed, depending on the weather and work schedule. Hydrant flushing will occur between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

As a result of the line flushing process, residents in the vicinity of the work may experience temporary discoloration of their water. This discoloration consists primarily of harmless silt and minerals and DOES NOT affect the safety of the water. If you experience discoloration in your water after crews have been flushing in your area, flush the pipes in your home by running COLD water from your bathtub faucet or outside spigot vigorously for a few minutes.

The Water Department will continue to monitor the water quality during this period to ensure that the water remains safe to drink. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but flushing is an important part of our system maintenance.
Please contact Mary Wolf, Water Supervisor at (419) 698-7038 with any questions or concerns you may have.
