On September 23rd, the Ogle County Highway Department will once again close Ridge Rd on the north side of the intersection with the eastern leg of Pines Rd. The road closure will begin around 7:15 AM so we can complete the asphalt patch over the culvert replaced on 9/22. Traffic on Pines Rd travelling between Oregon and Polo will be able to stay on Pines Rd. Only Ridge Rd will be closed while we perform the patch. Ridge Rd will be open overnight.

On September 22nd, the Ogle County Highway Department will be closing Ridge Rd on the north side of the intersection with the eastern leg of Pines Rd. The road closure will begin around 7:00 AM and will continue into the late afternoon while a culvert is replaced. Traffic on Pines Rd travelling between Oregon and Polo will be able to stay on Pines Rd. Only Ridge Rd will be closed.

The BNSF Railroad has informed us that Chana Rd will be closed in Chana from 9/7/26 to 9/12/26 while they replace the panels at the railroad crossing. Local township roads in the area are not suitable for repeated truck traffic. It is requested that traffic utilize the State & County Highways during the closure. Please see the map below for suitable alternative routes.

The Ogle County Highway Department will be closing Montague Rd on the east side of the intersection with IL Route 26 on 9/2/2026 at 7:00 A.M. The road will remain closed until around midday on 9/3/2026 while a culvert is replaced. IL Route 26 will remain open. A map showing the location of the closure can be seen below.

River Rd Closure - The fire department has requested the closure of River Rd just south of the Rock River Terrace. This is a full road closure and vehicles will not be able to get through. Staggered barricades have been placed at Razorville Rd and Spring Creek Rd to alert drivers of the closure. Local traffic can travel beyond the barricades, but through traffic will not be possible. The attached map shows the location of the full closure as well as the local traffic only restriction. At this time the closure is expected to be in place a few hours.
