Have you heard? We’re calling on Glenn County to give back to children by supporting literacy! 📚💙

This Friday, September 25th, is 9 to 5 Day, also known as Give Like Dolly Day, and we’re challenging YOU to give the gift of reading by donating $31 to our local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. For just $31, you will be supporting one child to receive books for a year!

In Glenn County, only 27% of third-grade students are meeting or exceeding English Language Arts standards, which is a critical indicator of future academic success and life outcomes.

That’s why Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is so important to our community. The program puts free, high-quality books directly into the hands of young children, helping families create a home environment where reading can become part of everyday life.

Research on children participating in the program indicates that after receiving just 10 books, children were at least four times more likely to demonstrate strong emerging literacy skills, including vocabulary growth and phonological awareness.

Help us keep Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library growing in Glenn County! Your donation can help put more books into the hands of local children and give them the opportunity to build a lifelong love of reading. 💙📚

Give Like Dolly and keep your donation local!
