Bill Nelson (Astronaut, Army Veteran, US Senator, NASA administrator, FL. State Treasurer, and the Space Coast House of Representative) came by the station today to exercise his right to Vote. We are honored to have him and all of the residents of the Lake Nona area here in the station today!

Congratulations to one of Medical City’s very own, Ashley. She received a commendation for an outstanding performance on a call for assistance. This was given at a local emergency room because we had just transported a patient to this location. Always an exciting day at Firehouse #16.

Congratulations to former civilian paramedic Rachel Lindblom on transitioning to Firefighter/Paramedic. Rachel served on Medic 161 before making the leap. After a grueling 10 week orientation she along with Class 10-24 graduated today. She will continue to served the citizens of Orlando as she starts the next chapter in her career at Firehouse #7. Congratulations on a job well done. Keep pushing forward.
