Governor Ron DeSantis has called the Florida Legislature into a special session beginning Monday to advance a permanent property tax cut and enshrine it in the Florida Constitution. This is what leadership looks like courtesy of the Republican Party of Florida. When elected, i will continue to fight for Florida families.

$15.8 MILLION DELIVERED FOR CENTRAL FLORIDA
The 2026–2027 State Budget has officially passed, marking the close of session and delivering a responsible financial plan that puts Floridians first while supporting the needs of our local communities.
I’m especially proud to have helped secure critical funding for 19 local projects totaling more than $15.8 million across Central Florida alongside my Senate sponsors.
These investments support local transportation and infrastructure, first responders, Orange & Osceola school districts, arts and theater, behavioral health, substance abuse prevention, homeless veterans housing programs, developmental disability services, workforce training, youth mental health, nutrition for vulnerable seniors, early learning initiatives, nursing education expansion at Valencia College, natural resource research, and safety hardening for all Central Florida YMCA campuses among much more.
The budget has moved on to the Governor’s office for signature!
Grateful to have worked many weeks, days and hours alongside legislative leadership and community partners to help bring these important resources home for our residents and families!
It’s an honor to serve you in the Florida House 🇺🇸

Today in Tampa, I outlined the Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes plan that will eliminate taxes on homesteads.Â
Property tax revenue collected by local governments has nearly doubled in the past seven years (from $32 billion to $60 billion) and is expected to reach an astounding $83 billion by 2032.
Florida homeowners need relief. Now is the time to stand up for taxpayers, enact a historic reform, and save the home of every Floridian.
