1 day to Seminole ✨

Our new Longwood campus, which is opening tomorrow, will bring OCA’s adult programs to Seminole County.

Designed for individuals ready for greater independence and purpose after the school years, these programs offer individualized support and opportunities to build real-life skills such as budgeting, meal prep, and community navigation.

Participants also gain experience through job training and volunteer opportunities, helping them take the next step forward with confidence.

At OCA, learning happens through experience 💙

Our participants recently explored a sensory fair across campus where they stopped at different stations to smell, taste, touch, and discover the world in new ways. From fun snacks to unique scents, each activity helped build awareness of how our senses work together.

Along the way, they filled out their own “sensory passports,” earning stamps for every new experience. ✨

Spending spring in the sensory garden 🌱

Our adult participants have been enjoying time gardening, getting their hands in the soil, caring for plants, and indulging in the rhythm of being outdoors together.

A heartfelt thank you to Autism Speaks, Harper Family Charitable Foundation, Inc., and the Winter Park Rotary Club for making our sensory garden possible and bringing so much joy and connection to OCA. Moments like these create space for learning, routine, and a sense of accomplishment in a calm, engaging environment. 🌿

We’re less than two weeks away from opening our new campus in Longwood, and we want to share why this new location matters so much.

Too many families are still waiting. Waiting for services. Waiting for answers. Waiting for the right place for their child.

With thousands of families on waitlists across Florida and access still out of reach for many, the need is clear.

Our expansion into Seminole County is about changing that. Bringing programs and opportunities closer to home for families across Seminole, Lake, Volusia County, and beyond.

When OCA cuts the ribbon on its new Seminole County campus on June 3, it will represent much more than a new location.

For many Central Florida families, it represents hope for what comes after school services end. Turning 22 often means losing critical school-based support and facing an uncertain future.

Thank you to Spectrum News 13 for spotlighting Brandon’s story and the growing need for adult services, life skills programs, and housing solutions in Central Florida.

At OCA, we’re committed to creating opportunities and support for individuals with special needs long after they leave the school system. 💙 To learn more about OCA Seminole programs, visit https://bit.ly/4mimlYp.
