🦃 Hopeful Harvest Registration Ends Tomorrow!

Member Share Grocery Program members can now register for Hopeful Harvest and receive a Thanksgiving meal that feeds up to four people.

Each meal includes a turkey and all the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner for a family that might otherwise go without.

Already got your turkey plans taken care of? Help us put dinner on the table for others!

If you're able, consider gifting a donation to Hopeful Harvest to help local families access the food they need. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against food insecurity.

We're having another successful Community Hiring Event today! Bringing employers and job seekers together is one of the many ways we help individuals move from crisis to stability through meaningful employment opportunities.

Through our Success Training Employment Program (STEP), participants gained the resume and interview skills, support, and confidence to interview for jobs today, and we're rooting for their success!

A special thank you to our employer and community partners for investing their time, sharing opportunities, and helping create pathways to self-sufficiency for our neighbors.

Even if you can't make it today, register now for more information on future opportunities!

You may remember Alicia Byrd from her CNN interview last year. She shared the heartbreaking reality of losing SNAP benefits during the government shutdown, fording her to skip meals so her children could eat.

When Alicia connected with UP Orlando, she found support through our Member Share Grocery Program and enrolled in the Success Training Employment Program. With hard work and determination, she was able to transform her life in just one short year.

Today, we're proud to say that Alicia is working at DoubleTree by Hilton, and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aviation Management.

Last Friday at the Hand UP Luncheon, she surprised everyone in the room and made a $1,000 pledge to pay it forward and help others access the same opportunities that changed her life.

💙 That's the power of a Hand UP: transforming lives, restoring dignity, and creating future community leaders.

Will you follow Alicia's lead?

✨ What an incredible afternoon! ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year's Hand UP Luncheon! We hope you'll continue to stand beside us as we build the foundation for stability, opportunity, and self-sufficiency for families across Central Florida. 💙

Today, we celebrated the impact we’ve been able to make when a community comes together for a common cause. We also took an exciting look ahead with the announcement of our most ambitious plans yet, Project UPLift. 🏗️

United Against Poverty Orlando has Lifted UP struggling families in Central Florida for over twenty years and they deserve to visit a modern, dignified facility that is as resilient as they are. 🛒

The blueprint is in place, and construction is set to begin next year, but bringing this vision to life will take all of us. Every supporter, volunteer, partner, and advocate plays a role in building a stronger future for the individuals and families we serve. 💚

Please tag us in your photos and posts to spread the word that change is COMING! 📸

When we build together, we make bold visions a reality. 💙

💙 Shanah Tovah from all of us at .

As Rosh Hashanah begins, we wish a sweet and meaningful New Year to all who observe.

Rosh Hashanah is a time for reflection, renewal, and looking toward a sweeter year ahead, traditionally symbolized by eating apples and honey. For us, it's an opportunity to come together and support those in our community who are facing hunger by providing nutritious food and resources and creating meaningful and sustainable pathways to a healthy and hopeful new year.🍎🍯

Today, your gift has double the impact thanks to First Horizon Bank This month, they are matching dollar for dollar up to $10,000 to support neighbors in need, will you join them?
