For over 20 years, United Against Poverty Orlando has been providing more than temporary relief β€” we’ve been creating pathways to stability, opportunity, and lasting change. πŸ’™πŸ’š

At , we believe in a HAND UP, not a hand out. Through employment training, crisis stabilization, and affordable grocery access, we empower individuals and families with the tools and support needed to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.

Every success story starts with hope, dignity, and a community that cares. Together, we are strengthening families, creating self-sufficiency, and uplifting our neighbors across Central Florida.

πŸ’™ If you have ever visited the campus, chances are you have met Mr. Ray. And if you have met Mr. Ray, you probably left smiling.

With his infectious laugh, kind heart, and ability to make every person feel seen and special, Mr. Ray has become such an important part of our UP Orlando family. From graduating our Success Training Employment Program (STEP) to now giving back as a dedicated volunteer, his journey is a beautiful reminder of the power of hope, perseverance, and community.

Recently, Spectrum News 13 spotlighted Mr. Ray and the incredible impact he makes every day through his volunteer service. As a client turned volunteer, he now spends his time uplifting others, helping families in our Member Share Grocery Program, and showing compassion to everyone he meets.

Mr. Ray truly embodies what it means to offer β€œhope and a hand up.” πŸ’™

We are so proud to celebrate him and we are grateful for the joy and positivity he brings to our campus every time he visits. Watch the news story & join us in showing Mr. Ray some love in the comments below! πŸ‘βœ¨

πŸ₯¬πŸ§€πŸž At , we are here uplifting families every single day, 7 days a week. Through our Member Share Grocery Program, we serve more than 450 families daily by providing access to fresh, quality groceries.

From pantry staples and fresh produce to a variety of grocery options that create a dignified experience, our goal is simple: help ease the financial burden of food for low-income families throughout our community by providing a HAND UP! πŸ’™

Members can save up to TWO-THIRDS of their household food and product budget by utilizing our grocery program, allowing families to stretch their income further while still accessing nutritious and quality items for their households.

Membership is always FREE for households at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. If you or someone you know could benefit from additional support, we are here for you.

Because everyone deserves access to food with dignity. πŸ’™ To learn more, visit: https://uporlando.org/member-share-grocery-program/

πŸ’™ For years, has been a proud partner of Heart of Florida United Way, together serving individuals and families across Central Florida with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Together, we are supporting our ALICE community: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed households who are working hard every day but still struggling to afford basic necessities like housing, food, childcare, transportation, and healthcare.

Through this continued partnership, families in our community have access to critical crisis support, financial empowerment opportunities, and resources that help create pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency.

To every client and neighbor we serve, this partnership is for you. πŸ’™ Thank you, Heart of Florida United Way, for continuing to invest in our mission and in the future of our community.

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who donated, shared, and supported our efforts to raise funds to replace the A/C in our crisis center. β„οΈπŸ’™

While we did not reach our full goal, we are incredibly grateful for the way our community showed up in just a few short days. Because of you, we were able to raise $6,000 toward this unexpected and important expense, helping ensure a more comfortable and safe space for the individuals and families we serve. πŸ™πŸ½

Your generosity and willingness to step in when it matters most means everything to us. πŸ’™

If you would still like to support this effort, there is still time to give here: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/2026orlac/

THANK YOU!

Right now, you've helped us raise $5,990.50 toward our $27,000 goal to repair our A/C & refill our emergency food pantry shelves! Thank you! That leaves more than $21,000 still needed to reach our goal!

Families are walking through our doors right now needing emergency food, relief from extreme heat, and support that helps them stay safe and stable through the day. The need is immediate and growing.

We cannot close this gap without urgent support from our community. Every gift brings a family closer to relief and dignity when they need it most.

Can you make a gift today to help us reach the $27,000 goal and meet this urgent need?
