UK innovation in action in the Caribbean 🚢

A major milestone for the Royal Navy, as offshore patrol vessel successfully conducted the first flight trials of the Malloy T-150B heavy-lift uncrewed aerial system while deployed in the Caribbean during the Atlantic hurricane season.

The successful trials demonstrated how uncrewed systems can enhance humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations, delivering vital supplies such as food, water, medical equipment and emergency provisions to communities cut off by damaged infrastructure.

Manufactured by British firm for both civil and military applications, the Malloy T-150B has the potential to transform ship-to-shore logistics in challenging environments, providing faster and more flexible support where it is needed most.

This achievement highlights the UK’s continued leadership in defence innovation and the growing role of advanced autonomous technologies in supporting both operational effectiveness and humanitarian missions.

Congratulations to the teams from HMS Trent and 700X Naval Air Squadron on this important step forward for the future of maritime operations. 🇬🇧⚓
