In 2009 the Orlando Police Department established a youth mentoring program, Operation Positive Direction for young adults in the community.

Today was a blast! Operation Positive Direction students, mentors, and parents volunteered in the Toys for Tots event. Students interacted with the U.S. Marines, Channel 9 news Anchor Daralene Jones and Channel 9 Meteorologist Tom Terry. Thanks to all who participated in this fun event.

Operation Positive Direction Elves Bringing Holiday Cheer to Our Elders. Students created holiday greeting cards and stuffed Christmas stockings with the basic necessities and gifts to be delivered to the senior residents at the Villas at Carver Park in Orlando, FL.
