Orlando Firefighter Kamalu Kong was born and raised in Hawaii, and he moved to Florida almost 30 years ago to work as an entertainer at Disney World Resort. It wasn't until he met an Orlando Firefighter by happenstance that he found his true calling! He now serves as a firefighter at Firehouse 2, "Pride of Parramore".
Since joining OFD back in October 2000, Kong has become a mentor to many at OFD and beyond. He has been a big proponent of spreading the family culture within the fire service. Thank you Kong for your years of service and all you do for our deparment and community.
