🍎 Lunch with Your Viking! 💙💛
We’re excited to offer Cheney families another opportunity to be part of their child’s school day! Beginning Monday, September 28, parents and guardians who are ADDitions approved are welcome to come to Cheney and enjoy lunch with their child.
Families will eat together at our designated family lunch tables located in the hallway outside the cafeteria.
To help us keep lunch safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone, please review the following guidelines before visiting:
🍽️ Lunch with Your Viking Guidelines
• Parents and guardians must be ADDitions approved before participating in a lunch visit.
• Please notify your child’s teacher in advance if you plan to join your child for lunch. This helps the teacher and staff know to expect your visit.
• When you arrive, please report to the front office, present a valid photo ID, check in, and wear your visitor badge while on campus.
• Parents and their child will eat only at the designated family lunch tables located outside the cafeteria.
• Parents may eat lunch only with their own child. Friends or other students may not join the lunch visit.
• Younger siblings and other non-enrolled children may not accompany parents for lunch visits.
• Food brought by a parent may be provided to their child only and may not be shared with other students.
• Lunch visits are limited to the child’s regularly scheduled lunch period. Students must return to their normal schedule when lunch ends, and visits may not extend into recess or instructional time.
• Parents should remain in the designated family lunch area during the visit. Lunch visits do not include visits to classrooms or other areas of campus.
• Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand becomes greater than our available seating, we may implement a reservation system in the future.
• There may be times when lunch visits are limited or temporarily unavailable due to testing, special events, campus activities, or other operational needs.
