US Army Recruiting Battalion Tampa was proud to be a community partner for Florida Blue Florida Classic again this year. This is the largest HBCU sports & entertainment event in the country, held Nov. 19. More than 55,000 people packed Camping World Stadium to watch the two rivalry football teams, Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman Universities square off on the gridiron. In attendance were Brigadier General Daphne Davis, USAREC Deputy Commanding General, Brigadier General Richard Harrison, USAREC Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, Maj. Marcelus Chambers, US Army Recruiting Battalion Tampa, Executive Officer, and Allie Braswell, CASA Central Florida.

The largest HBCU football game in the country, hands down. The Florida Classic is today! The US Army is here at the Florida Blue Florida Classic Orlando Game. Stop by our tent for a round of push- ups or bean bag toss. Gates are open.

The US Army recruitment team brought along its Adventure Semi simulation truck to show Jones High School students in Orlando, FL., the potential careers waiting for them after graduation, Nov. 15. The asset truck allowed curious students to experience the future of tactical operations in the Army.
