Recently, a student at Acceleration East High School had his bicycle stolen from his apartment complex. Despite this, he continued to walk a considerable distance each day to and from school. He is a great student, never complains, and just keeps going. When a staff member at Acceleration East overheard that his bicycle was stolen, he put the wheels in motion to help this student.
The SRO assigned to Acceleration East, Officer Muniz learned about the situation and immediately coordinated with Lieutenant Bobay and Sergeant Nieves. They reached out to the local Walmart that was near Acceleration East and told them the situation. The store generously donated a new bicycle for the student.
Dr. Vacchio, the Principal at Acceleration East was extremely appreciative of everyone working together to help one of her students.
The student was excited and grateful for the bicycle.
It was an outstanding effort by everyone involved and a great reflection of the heart and commitment of our team.
