Officers Jackson and Duenas had the pleasure of attending this year’s Almond Bowl and enjoying one of our community’s favorite football traditions!
We appreciate opportunities to get out into the community, connect with local residents, and cheer on our favorite teams. Let’s just say Officer Jackson had a little extra enthusiasm for the Vikings!
It was also great to see our fellow local law enforcement partners out supporting the community and enjoying the rivalry.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Almond Bowl a great event. We’re proud to be part of a community that brings people together, on and off the field!

Operation Sierra Suppression: Multi-Agency Compliance Operation Results in Nine Arrests

The Chico Parole Office, in partnership with approximately 60 public safety personnel from agencies throughout Butte County, recently conducted Operation Sierra Suppression, a coordinated compliance operation focused on addressing supervision violations, promoting accountability, and enhancing community safety.

Butte County Probation was among the local agencies that participated in the operation. Through coordinated efforts, participating agencies worked together to identify and locate individuals who were out of compliance with the terms and conditions of their probation or parole. The operation resulted in nine arrests.

Operation Sierra Suppression demonstrated the importance of collaboration among probation, parole, law enforcement, and prosecutorial agencies. By combining resources, information, and operational expertise, participating personnel were able to conduct a coordinated enforcement effort while maintaining a shared commitment to community safety, accountability, compliance, and rehabilitation.

Operations such as this provide an opportunity for agencies to strengthen working relationships, improve communication, and develop effective strategies for addressing supervision concerns within the community. The success of the operation was made possible through the professionalism, preparation, and cooperation of all participating personnel.

Butte County Probation appreciates the partnership and collaboration of the Chico Parole Office, Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Chico Police Department, Gridley Police Department, Paradise Police Department, Oroville Police Department, Butte County District Attorney’s Office, and Adult Parole Operations Community Compliance Unit (CCU).

Operation Sierra Suppression is an example of what can be accomplished when public safety agencies work together toward a common goal of community safety, accountability, compliance, and rehabilitation.
