Calling all homeschool families!

We've got another homeschool program coming up this month for those needing a place to socialize or simply needing a change of scenery. We'll be exploring the topic of marine life! We'll discuss fun facts, learn about different animals, and work with watercolors to do an art project.

It's time to get creative with puppetry!

We're inviting juniors to join us for a fun, simple activity this month. They'll be using clothespins to make moving puppets! This is a great program to get those creative juices flowing while also being an easy activity to recreate at home!

📚✨ It’s Library Card Sign-Up Month! ✨📚

September is all about celebrating that little card that can open the door to SO. MANY. STORIES. And we’re celebrating all month long!

We’ve got activities, promotions, special displays, and a few fun ways for YOU to show off your love of books.

🎨 DESIGN YOUR DREAM LIBRARY CARD!
If you could create your own library card, what would it look like?

Would you:
📖 Use a quote from your favorite author?
🎬 Recreate a scene from a book you love?
😂 Add an inside joke only fellow fans would understand?

Make your own and add it to our display!

📚📣 TELL US ABOUT A BOOK THAT MATTERS TO YOU!

Think of a book that has stuck with you long after you finished the last page. Maybe it changed the way you see the world. Maybe you’ve recommended it to approximately everyone you know (and a few strangers).

Fill out a borrower’s log and tell us:

💭 Why did it stick with you?
🗣️ What’s your elevator-pitch review?
👀 Who should read it?

You might just introduce someone else to their next favorite book!

Stop by the library this September and help us celebrate library cards, great books, and the readers who love them.

And, of course… if you don’t have a library card yet, September is a pretty great time to fix that. 😉

Join us next week for a little library surplus sale! We'll have tables stocked Thursday and Friday, September 10th and 11th, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. This is a cash only sale, with proceeds going back into our library's collection development fund to help bring new titles to the shelves.

Adult and youth paperbacks, hardcovers, DVDs, audiobook CDs, TV series, craft supplies, and all sorts of odds-and-ends from around the library -- all at excellent prices! This is a no-holds event so be sure you stop in early and often as tables get restocked.

Genres include mystery, sci-fi and fantasy, general fiction, and inspirational (plus a few odd ball non-fiction titles).

It's September 1st, which means it's ✨officially fall✨. In celebration of the best season, we are thrilled to announce September's Third Thursday adult craft -- "spooky" felted coasters!

This delightfully hands-on fiber project is basically a Halloween movie marathon in craft form: the coziness of Halloweentown meets the acidic colors of Beetlejuice. Using needle and thread, we’ll turn wool felt balls into festive coaster duos that are perfect for adding a pop of Halloween fun to your table all season long.

While this event is free, seats are limited.

**FINAL CALL for SURVEY** We're closing our survey at 9:00am on Monday -- last chance to give us your feedback!

We’d like to reintroduce twice-weekly storytimes in September, but we’re not sure when works best for our patron families. We’ve tried Tuesdays at 1:00pm, but think a better day/time is needed. If you've got two minutes, we'd love your feedback!
