***OUTDATED POST***
It has been a near-record month for rainfall across Iowa, and it will end with more widespread and potentially heavy rain around the middle of this week. Showers and thunderstorms will move into western Iowa on Tuesday, then persist in a swath that will slowly move across most of the state for a couple of days before finally exiting. The most likely period of heavy rainfall will occur from late Tuesday night into early Thursday, or perhaps even into late Thursday. Total rainfall amounts during this time will be 2” or greater in some areas, resulting in renewed flooding concerns. Be sure to stay tuned to the latest forecasts, and possible watches and warnings, as the week progresses.

🏠 RENTERS INSURANCE: SMALL COST. BIG PROTECTION.

If you rent your home or apartment, don’t assume your landlord’s insurance covers your belongings.

Your landlord’s/building insurance generally covers the building — not your personal property.

Renters insurance can help protect the things you own from covered losses such as:
🔥 Fire
💧 Water damage
🌪️ Storm damage
🔐 Theft
…and other unexpected events.

From your furniture and electronics to clothing and personal items, replacing everything after a disaster can add up quickly. Renters insurance is often an affordable way to help protect what you’ve worked hard to own.

Take a few minutes to review your coverage, make an inventory of your belongings, and talk with an insurance professional about what policy is right for you.

Be Prepared. Protect What Matters.
