The Osceola Police Department sends its deepest sympathies to the family Dail Chipman.

Nurse Chipman, as she was known by us at OPD, was an employee of the Osceola Police Department for 20 years where she served as a nurse and handled duties inside the detention center. She was friends to many of us at the police department and she will deeply missed.

Services for Dail Chipman will be held Saturday October 3rd with the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm and funeral services beginning wt 2:30 pm.

Please keep her family in your thoughts.

At this time, we do not have an estimated time for when the crossings will reopen.

***Attention***

The railroad crossing normally used by Hybar Steel is closed for the remainder of today. To keep operations moving, all traffic will need to use the alternative route via East Keiser and then South Chestnut.
We understand this detour runs through a residential area, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for local residents. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we work around today’s closure.

Labor Day weekend is right around the corner! 🇺🇸

As you make plans to enjoy the holiday, make sure a safe ride home is part of those plans. If your celebration includes alcohol, designate a sober driver, arrange for a ride, or plan to stay where you are.

A few minutes of planning can prevent a decision that changes lives forever. Never drive impaired, and never get in a vehicle with someone who is impaired. Enjoy the holiday, look out for one another, and help keep our roads safe.

Drive sober. Save lives. 🚔
