Sarah Laurent, Healthy Lifespan Supervisor with Winnebago County Public Health, recently joined our ADRC team meeting to discuss ways we can best partner to support adults with disabilities and older adults in our community. From home visits with public health nurses to connecting individuals with resources, our work often overlaps. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate and strengthen our partnership!

We are deeply grateful to our community, whose generosity made it possible to provide more than $6 million in direct financial assistance to over 1,500 households impacted by the tornado. As our community moves from immediate disaster response into long-term recovery, LEAVEN is making that same transition. With this, we will be ending our dedicated Tornado Relief Assistance program on Friday, October 30.

LEAVEN will continue to support households experiencing financial hardship through our standard financial and basic needs services. Please visit our website for our current operating hours.

If you are a homeowner with major property impacts from the July 27th, 2026, tornado and are seeking relief assistance, please use the Tornado Relief button on our website to submit a request by Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:59PM to ensure we can get to everyone before the final deadline. We are unable to process tornado relief requests from walk-ins. We appreciate the community’s continued support.
