From September 30th – October 26th, the library will host a banner display titled Enslavement to Freedom, on loan from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Enslavement to Freedom is a multi-year commemoration, highlighting New York’s unique history with the institution of slavery. This display is part of the ‘Our Whole History’ initiative, a framework that seeks to expand the history we share to better reflect the rich multicultural world of New York’s past and present.
