Honoring our Veteran's At Churchill Elementary
Dear Churchill Families,
We are excited to invite the veterans in our Churchill community to join us for our Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11, 2026! This is a special opportunity for our Mustangs to recognize and thank the brave men and women who have served our country.
Our celebration will take place from 9:00–10:15 a.m. and will include:
9:00–9:30 a.m.: Veterans are invited to enjoy refreshments, visit our Wall of Honor, and spend time with their Churchill student.
9:30–10:15 a.m.: A special whole-school assembly honoring our veterans.
How Can Your Family Participate?
If a veteran in your family would like to attend, please complete the attached RSVP form and return it to your child's classroom teacher by Monday, October 26. We cannot accept late RSVPs, as we need an accurate count for refreshments.
We would also love for every family to help us create our Wall of Honor! Please complete and decorate the attached heart to recognize a special veteran in your family. Veterans do not need to attend the celebration to be honored, and families may recognize veterans who have passed away. Additional hearts are available in the main office.
A Few Important Reminders:
Due to limited space, only veterans may attend the assembly.
All visiting veterans must bring a valid driver's license or state-issued ID to check in through our Raptor security system. Veterans may complete this process ahead of time by visiting our main office.
At Churchill, we want our students to understand the importance of gratitude, service, and honoring those who have given so much for others. We look forward to celebrating the veterans in our Mustang family!
