🚒 Thank you, Otsego!

A big shout-out to everyone who came out to explore your Otsego Fire Station at our Open House! We loved welcoming families, showing off the equipment, giving everyone a chance to explore the station, and connecting with our community.

A special thank you to our community partners and vendors for helping make the day memorable, and to our firefighters and cadets for the time and care they put into welcoming our community!

From little hands trying a fire hose to families exploring the station for the first time, these are the moments that make it all worthwhile.

We’re proud to serve Otsego!

KICKING OFF FIRE PREVENTION WEEK!

Fire Prevention Week is October 4–10, and today, members of the Otsego Fire Department welcomed local homeschool groups to the new fire station to kick things off!

Our firefighters spent time with students talking about fire safety and prevention, giving them a tour of the new station, and providing an up-close look at some of the equipment our firefighters use every day to help keep our community safe.

It’s never too early to teach children what to do in the event of a fire—and, most importantly, how to help prevent fires from happening in the first place!

A huge thank you to the homeschool groups for visiting us today!

Our new cadet firefighters participated in hands-on training last Thursday night focused on vehicle fires. The training covered hose handling, scene safety and fire attack strategies while using realistic props and simulations in a controlled environment.

Training like this helps our cadets build the skills and confidence they’ll need to respond safely and effectively when they’re called to an emergency.

We’re excited to watch our new firefighters continue learning and preparing to serve the Otsego community!
