💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

Today, we recognize National Day of Unity — a day to come together and take a stand against domestic violence.

Domestic violence affects individuals, families, and communities. But together, we can create a culture where everyone feels safe, supported, and empowered.

Let’s stand united with survivors, raise awareness, educate our communities, and remind those experiencing abuse that they are not alone. 💜

📣 WE NEED YOUR HELP supporting survivors!

Tomorrow, September 23, kicks off a nationwide effort to urge the Senate to pass the bipartisan Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act (CVFSA) as soon as possible.

A 40% cut to victim services funding has already forced some programs to lay off staff, reduce services, and even close their doors. The CVFSA would help stabilize this vital resource, which is the nation’s largest funding source for victim services.

It already passed the House with unanimous support in January, and now we need the Senate to act. Survivors cannot wait.

Take Action:
1️⃣ Use the toolkit linked below to guide your outreach. (Thanks to the The National Network to End Domestic Violence, the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, the National District Attorneys Association, and the National Children's Alliance for this resource!)

2️⃣ Contact Senator Joni Ernst and Senator Chuck Grassley using the template in the toolkit.

3️⃣ Post about it on social media and tag Senate Leadership: Leader John Thune, Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Chuck Grassley, and Senator Dick Durbin.
