These 2 fields are side by side in Wapello County. One was tilled and no cover crops. The other was no till and cover crops. Make your plans now to get cover crops on the ground this fall.

There was fun had at Cardinal Ag Day this year with the soil health tunnel.

This structure was built with help from our office. Now the landowner came back and bought fish from our fundraiser to stock the pond. We can’t wait to get picture of the fish in a few years! It’s great to see a project come full circle!

These two fields, in the pictures, share a fence line. The only differences are one is tilled corn stalks and the other is cover crop on corn stalks. Notice the huge difference in the amount of soil you see on the snow in front of the field that does not have cover crops. This picture was taken today 3/19/26.
